Investigation Intensifies in TCS Sexual Harassment Case, Probe into Suspects’ Bank Accounts Begins

Police investigation into the alleged sexual harassment and religious conversion case at TCS in Nashik is ongoing from several different perspectives. In this case, investigation agencies are now conducting an in-depth examination of the arrested suspects’ bank accounts to determine if they received any financial assistance or payments for this alleged crime.

According to sources, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing the matter. Meanwhile, a local court on Monday extended the police custody of the female TCS manager until April 15.

Investigators state that a total of 7 employees of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) have been arrested so far, including 6 men and 1 woman. Taking the entire matter seriously, the police are moving the investigation forward from every angle.

According to investigation agencies, another female employee is reported to be absconding in this case. Earlier this week, the police formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) based on the complaints of 8 female employees.

The complaints allege that their senior officers mentally and sexually harassed them, while the HR department took no concrete action on their complaints.

The individuals arrested by the police so far have been identified as Danish Sheikh, Tauseef Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansari, and a female manager. It is alleged that all of them were later suspended from the company.

Meanwhile, the Tata Group has also responded to this entire matter. TCS stated that it adopts a strict policy against any form of harassment and coercion and has zero tolerance for such cases. The company has confirmed the suspension of the employees involved in the allegations surfacing in Nashik.

Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran described the incident as “extremely concerning and painful.” He stated that a detailed investigation is underway under the leadership of TCS COO Aarti Subramanian to bring out the truth of the entire matter and identify those responsible.
