This was his first offense under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which pertains to the minimum over-rate regulations.”
If Gujarat Titans breach this rule again, captain Shubman Gill will be fined 24 lakh rupees. Moreover, the impact player and other players in the playing XI will face a fine of 12 lakh rupees each. However, the rule of imposing a one-match ban on the captain for a third offense has now been removed.
Coming to the match, Rashid Khan was chosen as the Player of the Match. Delhi Capitals built a strong score of 100 runs in the first 10 overs and appeared to be in a winning position, but continuous wicket falls led to the team falling behind. In the end, David Miller played a blistering innings, bringing the team to the brink of victory, but he couldn’t connect with the last ball, and Gujarat registered a thrilling win.
