Actor’s Brother Dies from Paraquat Poisoning
He wrote on social media, “Honorable Sirs @TelanganaCMO @PMOIndia, today I lost my brother due to paraquat poison. It is extremely fatal and is being widely misused by people for suicide. I am shocked that it is so easily available everywhere. Doctors are reporting many cases, which is also troubling them. Please ban it as soon as possible and save lives.”
What is Paraquat?
Paraquat is an extremely dangerous weedicide used in agriculture to destroy unwanted plants. However, it is highly toxic to humans. Even a small amount ingested can cause severe harm to the body. It severely affects the mouth, digestive system, and lungs, leading to difficulty in breathing. The most concerning aspect is that its effects spread very rapidly, and effective treatment is quite difficult.
