Bollywood’s renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s mother recently passed away. She breathed her last on Thursday at the age of 94. Her final journey took place on Friday, attended by many big names from the film industry, all paying heartfelt tributes.
Her funeral was conducted according to Hindu rituals at Santa Cruz crematorium. During this difficult time, several artists and film personalities from the industry were seen standing with Manish Malhotra.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, considered one of Manish’s close friends, arrived to pay his last respects. Besides him, Urmila Matondkar, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, David Dhawan, Vijay Varma, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, among other celebrities, were present at the crematorium.
Before this, several well-known personalities had already visited Manish Malhotra’s home to offer their condolences. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were also seen visiting his house to express their grief.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani also visited Manish Malhotra’s home to support him during this difficult time. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan came to express his condolences with his wife, Natasha Dalal.
In addition, Karisma Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Raveena Tandon, and Zoya Akhtar, among many other Bollywood celebrities, also arrived at his Mumbai residence to offer their condolences.
Manish Malhotra’s mother, Sudarshan Malhotra, could have been in the limelight due to her son’s success, but she always kept herself away from it. Her contribution to shaping Manish’s life and career is considered extremely important.
It is said that during his early struggles, she not only provided emotional support but also guided him in the right direction. Before becoming a successful costume designer, Manish had also tried his hand at acting, but faced many uncertainties at that time. During such times, his mother constantly inspired him and encouraged him to move forward.
