Sunrisers Hyderabad has played 2 matches so far in IPL 2026, winning one and losing one. Ishan Kishan captained the team in both these matches.
Team’s regular captain Pat Cummins is not fully fit from his back injury yet, which is why he didn’t play in the initial matches. Although he had joined the team, he has now returned to his home country, increasing SRH’s concerns.
According to an ESPN Cricinfo report, Pat Cummins has returned to Australia to get a scan for his back injury. His treatment and examination will be under the supervision of Cricket Australia there.
He will only be seen playing in the IPL again after the report comes back clear. Cummins had returned after the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 3.
If all goes well, he could rejoin the Sunrisers Hyderabad team on April 17.
Sunrisers Hyderabad has played 2 matches so far in IPL 2026 and has 2 points. Their next match will be on April 5 against Lucknow Super Giants at their home ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
In this match, the team will try to win and strengthen its position in the points table. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma will be crucial in batting, having performed well in the last match.
Additionally, all eyes will be on Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy. The team’s performance wasn’t good last season, but they are expected to play better this time.
