Brian Deese, economic adviser to US President Joe Biden, has said that we have warned India to follow the footsteps of Russia. Bryan said US officials were "disappointed" with some of India's response to the attack on Ukraine. Earlier, US Deputy National Security Advisor Dalip Singh had threatened Russia during his visit to India.

Brian Deese, director of the White House National Economic Council, said that there are certainly some areas where we have been disappointed by the decisions of China and India in the context of the Ukraine attack. America is irritated by this stand of India and is continuously making threats. This complicates relations between the two countries. Deese's statement came at a time when US Indian-origin deputy NSS Dalip Singh visited India last week to meet Indian officials. Jane Psaki, Press Secretary of the US President's Office, had earlier said that what Dalip Singh made clear to his Indian counterpart during his visit is that we believe that it is not in India's interest that energy and other goods from Russia Speed up imports.

He said that the US and India will continue to cooperate on food security and energy security. Meanwhile, Jane Pasaki, in her latest statement on Wednesday, said that the US is ready to help India diversify energy imports.

Jen Psaki said, “We do not think that India should increase or accelerate imports of energy and other goods from Russia. However, obviously these decisions are taken by the country. Responding to a question, he said, "The US is also making it clear that we stand ready to assist India in any effort to diversify its imports and serve as a reliable supplier as they are the only one from Russia."
