After getting the first patient of monkeypox in Kerala, the central government has issued an alert across the country. Instructions have been issued to take care of people coming from outside. The Health Department has given instructions to inform the CM immediately when a patient of monkeypox comes to the fore in government and private hospitals.
15 bed ward ready in kanpur
Along with this, the Health Department has also appealed to the general public to inform about the people showing symptoms of monkeypox. Principal of GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, Dr. Sanjay Kala said that as soon as we got information from the health department, we have prepared a special 15-bed ward for monkeypox.
New ward made by converting Kovid-19 ward
He told that this bed has been made by converting the Kovid-19 ward. A separate 10-bed isolation ward has also been arranged in this. On the other hand, Principal Dr. Sanjay Kala told that in view of the way the symptoms of monkeypox are there, we have written a letter to the CMO demanding kits. As soon as we get the kit to test for the monkeypox virus, we will start testing it in the microbiology lab.
