Did you know that businessman Anand Mahindra and filmmaker Mira Nair knew each other in college? Although, you will be surprised to know this, but it is true. The chairman of Mahindra Group attended the same college where the filmmaker from Salaam Bombay had studied. Anand Mahindra studied filmmaking and architecture at Harvard University and Mira Nair was only a year junior to him. Business tycoon recently disclosed this on Twitter in response to a user's question. Regarding a photo from his film school days, the person asked, "Did Mira Nair click this picture?" Mr Mahindra quote-tweeted and replied, "No, but she was in the same college film. The department was only a year junior to me in college." Mr Mahindra did not end the talk here. He added about Nair, "And, he has always made fun of me when I joined business school.

The conversation started when Anand Mahindra posted a black and white picture from his filmmaking years. In it, he was seen holding a 16mm handheld camera amidst a crowd of people. The business tycoon had shared the photo when a fan asked Mr Mahindra if he had other aspirations during his school or college days. And, the answer was in the caption of the photo, "It is easy to answer. I wanted to be a filmmaker and studied film in college." He further elaborated on his filmmaking course, "My thesis was a film I made at the '77 Kumbh Mela. But the picture was during the shooting of a documentary in a remote village near Indore."

Users lavished praise on the microblogging platform for Mr. Mahindra's talent. One user wrote, 'The loss of the film industry was the gain of the automotive industry. Though aspiring to be a filmmaker, Mr. Mahindra later enrolled at Harvard Business School, where he completed his MBA.v
