Audi Hike Prices: Luxury Cars SUVs Will Now Be Expensive

Germany's luxury car maker Audi is going to increase the prices of its cars. Audi India is going to increase the prices of its cars and SUVs by 3 percent from April 1, 2022. The company has said in its statement that due to the increase in input costs, it has been decided to increase the prices of vehicles.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head, Audi India said, “At Audi India, we are committed to operating a sustainable business model. Due to rising costs and changes in foreign exchange rates, we need to increase our model range by up to 3 per cent. Audi India's current line-up includes the petrol powered A4, A6, A8 L, Q2, Q5, the recently launched Q7, Q8, S5 Sportback, RS 5 Sportback, RS 7 Sportback and RS Q8. The company's electric vehicle portfolio under the e-tron brand includes e-tron 50, e-tron 55, e-tron Sportback 55 and e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT.

Earlier, car company Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors have also increased the price due to increase in cost. However, these companies will have to face more challenges in the coming days. Because of the war between Russia and Ukraine, commodity prices are increasing continuously. Due to this, the cost of automobile companies is going to increase even more. On top of that, due to rising crude oil prices, petrol diesel, the fuel needed to run the car, can also become expensive. This can affect the sales of vehicles.
