The annual income of the applicant's family in urban area should be Rs 56,450 and the annual income of the family of rural area should be Rs 46,080. Under the scheme, the word 'family' means husband and wife, minor children, unmarried daughter and dependent parents. Explain that to get financial assistance under the National Family Benefit Scheme, it will be mandatory to apply within one year from the date of death. Along with this, it will be ensured by the District Magistrate that the approved amount under this scheme is transferred to the beneficiary's bank account within 45 days from the date of receipt of online application as far as possible.

Under the scheme, it will be mandatory for eligible applicants to apply online by logging on to the website of Social Welfare Department nfbs.upsdc.gov.in. Applications will not be accepted through any other means.
