Heavy snowfall in Badri-Kedar
Earlier, on Friday, there was heavy snowfall in the high altitude areas including Badri-Kedarnath while the valley areas received heavy rain late night with roar of clouds. More than two feet of new snow has accumulated in Kedarnath, whereas there is already eight feet of snow here.

In Rudraprayag, Tilwara, Ukhimath, Guptkashi, Mayali, Jakholi, there was heavy rain with roar of clouds till late night. At the same time, there was heavy snowfall in the high altitude areas including Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Gaurson Bugyal, Auli, Rudranath, Lal Mati, while the weather remained bad throughout the day in the lower areas.

Farmers' faces blossomed due to continuous rain
Due to the continuous rains in Chamoli district, the eyes of the cultivators are blooming. The cultivators of unirrigated agriculture are dependent on rains only. These days the villagers are preparing the fields for paddy sowing. In the hilly rural areas, the work of farming starts after Vasant Panchami. In most of the rural areas people are preparing the fields by plowing, but it was becoming very difficult to plow in the dry fields.
