Chennai: In a disastrous episode in Tamil Nadu's Vellore, a man and his little girl passed on after their e-bicycle disintegrated choking them to no end in their asbestos sheet-loaded house in the extremely early times on Saturday.

Police said that M. Duraivarma, who was running a photography studio close to Tollgate, Vellore purchased another e-bicycle a couple of days prior. He connected the charger of his bicycle to an old attachment in the entry of his home and fell asleep on Friday night.

An electrical short out prompted the e-bicycle disintegrating and smoke overwhelming the home.

His 13-year-old girl Mohana Preethi, an understudy of Class 8, was likewise found dead alongside Duraivarma at the house. Police said that the attachment may be an old one with less voltage ability to charge an e-bicycle.

Nearby individuals said that they found the e-bicycle on fire and smoke immersing the house around 1 a.m. They cautioned the police and Duraivarma's sister who remains a couple of houses away. Notwithstanding, neighbourhood individuals couldn't extinguish the fire as it was thick and had spread to a close by petroleum bicycle.

A unit of firemen arrived at the spot from Vellore and put out the blazes and neighbourhood individuals went into the house tearing open the front entryway.

The dad girl couple was tracked down dead with minor wounds. Police said that they accepted the dad and little girl kicked the bucket because of suffocation as there were no consumed wounds on the bodies.

Duraivarma had lost his significant other in 2013 and he was living with his child and little girl. After supper, his child went to remain with a direct relation while father and little girl resigned for the day at their home when the misfortune struck.

Neighbourhood individuals said that his little girl had visited her dad following a while as she was staying at an overall's place at Thiruvannamalai for better schooling.
