Tribute paid to Colonel Bainsla in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: - Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla was that shining star of the desert land Rajasthan, who once while in the army showed bravery for his country in the Indo-China war of 1962 and Indo-Pakistan war of 1965, and after  retirement, he has sacrificed everything for the progress of his Gujjar society. Many times in two decades, Gujjars continued to increased the heart beats of the central and state governments through the reservation movement, and finaly succeed to get the right for which the Gurjar community was fighting for centuries. Now Kirori Singh Bainsla, the leader of Gurjar reservation movement, has said goodbye to the world. But a new generation of society has come forward to take his vision of social upliftment and education to the masses. And for this a meeting was organized in Hyderabad. A tribute meeting was organized at Hayatnagar, Hyderabad. In which hundreds of Pravasi Rajasthanis paid tribute by paying floral tributes to Colonel Bainsla's portrait, observing a two-minute silence. In this tribute meeting, Sunita Bainsla, daughter of Colonel Bainsla and senior IRS officer in the Government of India, introduced the society to the vision of Colonel Bainsla. Also got acquainted with the education mission being run for the backward classes in Rajasthan. Sunita Bainsla runs programs for two days every week to encourage poor and backward class children towards academic education and employable education.

Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla along with thousands of people of Gurjar reservation sat on the train track and road for several days. After their agitation, the then Vasundhara Raje government formed a committee, which prepared a report on the condition of the Gujjars. After the long-running reservation movement, five castes including Gujjars got separate reservation along with Other Backward Classes, first in Special Backward Class and then in Most Backward Class (MBC). Colonel Bainsla was very popular among the people of every society. That's when I realized it. When after his death, lakhs of people gathered not only from Rajasthan but also from all over the country in his last journey. Hyderabad's famous industrialist Devidutt Koli in the meeting organized in Hyderabad to remember the famous social activist Col Kirori Singh Bainsla of Gurjar society, remembered the country service work of Colonel Bainsla in the Indian Army and the work of social service after retirement. Devidutt Koli, President of Gujjar Samaj and Rajasthan Association, a leading organization of Rajasthan, talked about taking inspiration from the youth, due to which the global identity of Gurjar society has been recognized.

Colonel Bainsla, after coming into public life, not only had taken the lead for Gurjar reservation, but he went from village to village to encourage women's education rapidly. For which, in his memory, the Gurjar Samaj across the country is running a campaign for the education. A long drafting was also done in Hyderabad regarding this. Under which a huge academic hub will now be built in Jaipur. Where poor and meritorious students will not only be able to get academic but also skill related education.
