All is not well in Gujarat BJP

All is not well in the BJP unit of Gujarat as differences are going on within the party on various issues. The sources claimed this on Wednesday. The demand of the party's tribal leader from Banaskantha to nominate only local candidates from the Danta assembly seat and the resignation of the executive committee chairman of Rajkot district panchayat on Tuesday are two indicators of the hidden trend of tension. Banaskantha District BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha President Ladhubhai Parghi said in a public meeting, "The party should nominate only local tribal candidate from Danta assembly constituency, if the party fields local candidates, then 1.30 lakh Dungri Bhil tribal party candidates. But if the party nominates a candidate from outsiders or other tribes, we do not promise their victory." Gujarat BJP ST Morcha President Harshad Vasava said, "As District President of ST Morcha This is an unfair statement of Parghi. The party expects him to follow the party line. Being a leader, he should know the system of candidate selection, where the views and opinions of local workers and leaders are considered. It is likely that Parghi may have made this statement to send a signal to other candidates." Sahdev Singh could not be contacted for his comments, but party sources said that too much interference in the administration of district panchayat president Bhupatbhai Bodar forced Jadeja to resign. The BJP district committee undermined the entire episode. Mansukhbhai Khacharia, president of IANS, told IANS, "The party has not received any resignation from Jadeja, there are baseless allegations that he is suffocating in the panchayat because he is not able to work freely. The fact is in the past, he has left the family." and discussed his resignation citing business-related issues, but he is confident of continuing till the end of his term."
