Apart from this, there is also a plan to run a restaurant. The station itself has world class rooms for the stay of tourists. Apart from this, another hotel is also being built. At the same time, to save the Statue of Unity from pollution by the Railways, the work of building a green corridor will start by April. Under this, 51 points will be made for charging electric vehicles in the parking zone of the railway station itself. After their construction, the parking of the vehicles of tourists will have to be parked at the railway station. From here onwards, the distance of about 6.5 km will have to be covered by electric vehicles only. Officials believe that with such an effort, the effect of pollution on the statue can be reduced. At present, the vehicles of tourists go till near the Statue of Unity.

The craze of traveling in a Vistadome coach fitted in the Ekta Nagar train from Ahmedabad is increasing among tourists. Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway said that though about eight trains reach from different parts of the country. A local train is also run from here, but a Vistadome coach has been installed in the Ahmedabad Jan Shatabdi train. There are 48 seats in this coach, which can rotate 360 degrees in all four directions. The per person fare of this coach is Rs 1030.
