School cab operators in Delhi have called for a one-day symbolic strike on Monday, which will affect About 4 lakh children and their families studying in about 1700 private schools and 50-60 government schools will be affected. The families may have to drop their children to the schools with the help of private vehicles. The cab operators and various associations who came in their support will demonstrate half-naked and beg with a bowl symbolically at several intersections including Queen Mary School in Tis Hazari from 7 am onwards. Ramchandra, president of School Transport Ekta Union said, We will also not disturb the family on the roads and till this campaign is not withdrawn by the police and the transport department, we will prepare a bigger strategy in the future. Start the process immediately, as well as stop the campaign being run against the school cabs by giving some time to the operators. If this is not done then further indefinite strike can be called.
