Government oil distribution companies on Monday (August 1), giving a big relief to the general public, have reduced the price of commercial cylinders by Rs 36. After this decision, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder in the country's capital Delhi has come down from Rs 2012.50 to Rs 1976. After the reduction in prices, in other big cities of the country like Kolkata, the cost of 19 kg commercial cylinder is Rs 2,195. The rupee has declined by Rs 2,095, in Mumbai from Rs 1972.5 to Rs 1936.5 and in Chennai by Rs 2,177 to Rs 2,141. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic cylinders. Earlier in July, oil distribution companies had twice cut the price of commercial cylinders by Rs 198 and Rs 8.5. At the same time, the price of domestic gas cylinder was increased by Rs 50. The cost of a 14.2 kg domestic cylinder in the country's capital Delhi is Rs 1,053.
