Delhiites got a shock of inflation

On Friday (August 05, 2022), the common citizens of the country's capital Delhi have suffered a major setback of inflation. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), a company that supplies cooking gas in Delhi, has increased the price of gas reaching homes through pipes by Rs 2.63 per unit. The company has taken this decision due to rising cost. Now the price of PNG in Delhi has increased from 47.96 per unit to 50.59 per unit. This is the second time in the last two weeks that IGL has increased the price of PNG. Earlier on July 26, the price of PNG was increased by 2.1 per unit.
Let us tell you, for Delhiites, this is the second biggest blow of inflation in a day. Today at 10 am, RBI Governor Shashikant Das announced a 0.5 percent increase in the repo rate to control inflation by holding a press conference. This will have a direct impact on the people taking loans from banks. After this decision of RBI, commercial banks can increase interest rates.
