Government replied in Parliament on rising prices of petrol and diesel

The government is constantly being criticized for the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the country. Opposition leaders are raising this issue vigorously from the streets to the Parliament. Meanwhile, now once again the government has given clarification regarding the rising oil prices. Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has claimed in the Lok Sabha that the price of oil in India has increased much less than other countries.

Defending the government on the rising oil prices, Petroleum Minister Puri said that, compared to other countries of the world, the price of oil in India has increased by 1/10. If we compare oil prices from April 2021 to March 2022, then it was increased by 51% in America, 52% in Canada, 55% in UK, 50% in France, 58% in Spain. But in India, the prices have increased only by 5%.

The temperature increased 13 times in the last 15 days

Let us inform that after the end of the assembly elections in five states, the price of oil started increasing. Petrol and diesel prices have increased 13 times in the last 15 days. Every day there is an increase of few paise and till now there has been an increase of about Rs 9.20. Petrol prices have once again crossed the 100 mark in all major cities. On the other hand, the common man's kitchen has also been affected, because the prices of domestic LPG have also increased. At present, the government is seen in defensive mode on this matter.
