West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made a major reshuffle in her cabinet. Nine ministers including Babul Supriyo took oath on Wednesday. Mamta had to change her cabinet after the arrest of suspended minister Partha Chatterjee in the education scam case. After 14 months, Mamta cabinet expanded for the second time. Governor L Ganesan administered the oath to the ministers at the Raj Bhavan. According to sources, 3-4 ministers can be removed from the Mamata cabinet. They will be given organization work. Panchayat elections are going to be held in West Bengal in 2023. This is like a test of strength for Mamata Banerjee. At the same time, the Lok Sabha elections will be held in 2024. In view of this, Mamta Banerjee is working towards strengthening the organization from now on. Singer Babul Supriyo has come from BJP to Trinamool Congress. Before the Bengal assembly elections, the BJP made him a minister in the central government. He was the BJP's poster boy in the election, but lost by over 50,000 votes. After this he joined Trinamool Congress. Babul Supriyo was born in 1970 in Uttarpara, West Bengal. Her first name was Supriya Baral. After quitting his banking job, he changed his name to Babul Supriyo while trying his luck as a singer. The arrest of Partha Chatterjee in the teacher recruitment scam case has led to a reshuffle in Mamata Banerjee's cabinet. Partha Chatterjee was called number two in the Mamata Banerjee government. He had got powerful positions in the party and government. He held high-profile ministries such as Commerce and Industry, Parliamentary Affairs, Information Technology and Electronics and Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction.
