Sensex and Nifty opened with a fall on Tuesday


On Tuesday, July 19, due to weak signals from global markets, the Indian stock market opened with a fall. After the opening of the market, the BSE Sensex was trading at 54,403.85, down 117.3 points. At the same time, Nifty was trading at 16,249.70 with a fall of 28.80 points. However, at 12.42 pm, the Sensex was seen trading at the level of 54,689x27 with a jump of 168.12 points. NSE's Nifty was also trading at 16,319.70 with a gain of 41.20 points.
Of the 30 companies included in the Sensex, 18 were trading with gains and 12 stocks were in the red. The top gainers were Axis Bank, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Mahindra & Mahindra, State Bank of India and Bajaj Finserv. On the other hand, the biggest losers were Nestle India, HCL Technologies, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma and ITC.
In the morning, the markets of Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong were also trading with a fall in Asian markets. Only the stock market of Tokyo was seen trading in the green mark. On Monday, the US stock markets were closed in the red mark. On Monday, the BSE Sensex closed at 54,521.15 with a gain of 760.37 points, or 1.41 percent. On the same lines, NSE's Nifty also closed at 16,278.50 with a jump of 229.30 points or 1.43 percent.
