Amarnath Yatra from Jammu was suspended on Friday due to bad weather and bad condition of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Officials gave this information.
He said that no new batch is being allowed to move towards the base camp from Jammu.
According to officials, the national highway, which was closed due to landslides and stone-fall following heavy rains at various places in Ramban district, was opened for one-way traffic on Thursday night. An official associated with the travel management told PTI. Said, "In view of the bad condition of the highway and inclement weather, the Amarnath Yatra from Jammu has been stopped." In the event of full resumption of movement on the highway, travel can be allowed once again from Jammu from evening.
It is noteworthy that the 43-day Yatra started on June 30. It will end on August 11 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
