Guru Ravidas Jayanti will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 (Ravidas Jayanti 2022). This will be the 645th birth anniversary of Saint Guru Ravidas. Guru Ravidas, also known as Raidas and Rohidas, was a famous saint of the Bhakti movement. His devotional songs and verses made a lasting impact on the Bhakti movement. According to historians, Guru Ravidas (Ravidas Jayanti) was born in the year 1398 AD. At the same time, some experts say that he was born in the year 1450. According to historians, Guru Ravidas was born in Seer Govardhanpur village of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. Many people believe that Guru Ravidas was born on Magha Purnima. Therefore Guru Ravidas Jayanti is celebrated on Magha Purnima according to the Hindu lunar calendar. His birthplace is now known as (Sant ravidas jayant) Sri Guru Ravidas birth place. It is a major pilgrimage place for the followers of Guru Ravidas.
