Corona vaccination figure reached close to 200 crores

Corona vaccination figure reached close to 200 crores

The number of doses given so far of corona vaccine in India has crossed 200 crores. On Sunday, this number has reached 199.98, including the number of Kovid vaccine doses given in the last 24 hours. But there is no enthusiasm among the people regarding the booster dose. The figure of corona vaccination in India reached 100 crores on 21 October 2021 and then this target was accomplished in 277 days, whereas it has taken about the same number of days to reach 100 to 200 crores. But the worrying thing is that so far only 5.62 crore people have been able to get the booster dose. Whereas in many countries of the world, the fourth dose has also been given to the citizens. If we accept the old rule of 9 months interval after completion of Kovid vaccination, then about 5 percent of the population has been able to get precaution or booster dose. However, now it has been reduced to 6 months. India introduced the precaution dose of COVID vaccination for all people above 18 years of age from April 10, but only at private immunization centers with a fee. The cost of booster dose of Covishield was Rs 780 earlier and that of Covaccine was Rs 1410, which was later reduced. However, still, there was no enthusiasm among the people towards the booster dose.
