Lakhimpur Kheri case: Petition rejected of bail plea of accused Ashish Mishra accepted

The top court will hear on March 11 against Ashish Mishra, son of minister Ajay Mishra in the BJP government. The court has agreed to hear the petition seeking cancellation of the bail plea of Lakhimpur Kheri case accused Ashish Mishra.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition rejecting the bail plea of accused Ashish Mishra in the Lakhimpur Kheri farmer murder case. The top court will hear on March 11 against the son of minister Ajay Mishra Teni in the BJP government.

In fact, the relatives of the victims had reached the Supreme Court against the bail granted to Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni. The family has appealed to the Supreme Court to cancel the bail of Ashish Mishra.

Got bail in the past

Accused Ashish Mishra was granted bail by the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court in the past. It was only after the bail was granted that the families of the deceased farmers opposed the decision and asked to challenge the order. On October 3 last year, a car in a convoy of BJP leaders rammed into the farmers protesting against three agricultural laws in Lakhimpur. The name of Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, had cropped up in this case. After this the police arrested him and sent him to jail.

SIT filed 5000 pages chargesheet

Within three months, the SIT had filed a 5000-page chargesheet in the CJM court on January 3 in connection with the October 3 violence in Tikunia village of Lakhimpur Kheri. In this, making Ashish Mishra the main accused, 13 accused were accused. Action was taken against all of them under the Arms Act including the sections of murder, attempt to murder, mutilation under a well-planned conspiracy.
