NMMC issued these instructions regarding Ganesh idols
For Ganesh Chaturthi the civic body has advised citizens to avoid using POP i.e. plaster of paris idols and instead opt for eco-friendly clay Ganpatis. In such a situation, a civic official said, "The height of the Ganpati idols of the house should be less than two feet, and if they are made of POP, then they will have to be immersed separately in special tanks, so that the natural Do not affect water bodies."
Apart from this, the NMMC commissioner has also requested people to ensure their safety. Regarding which the NMMC commissioner said that 'if people are inside a crowded public circle, definitely put on a mask. Let us tell you that after two years of epidemic, this year Ganpati Mahotsav festival will be celebrated with much fanfare on 31st August.
Apparently, earlier NMMC had started online slot booking for immersion of idols to prevent crowding or long waiting lines at immersion sites. In such a situation, now this year also an online portal will be made available for the benefit of pandals and devotees.
