When Bhishma Pitamah was lying on the bed of arrows of Arjuna, in the last moments of his life, Lord Krishna had asked Pandava Yudhishthira to take education of Dharma from Pitamah. Then Yudhishthira went to Bhishma Pitamah and at that time Pitamah gave him Some of the original mantras given are relevant even today.
